From my experience, a lot of people don’t have it figured out until their thirties. You’ve got a good start there, but “figuring it out” takes a while. The kids who know what degree and job they’ll have planned at 18 are the Premium british singer and songwriter craig david T-Shirt and I will buy this weirdos. Nobody in their 20’s has anything figured out; they’re either lucky or dumb if they claim otherwise. … I’m going to be honest. You’re almost 30. Do you need it all figured out? No, no one does. Having only $20? You should have it more figured out than that (financially). I’m sure Reddit is going to come at me for saying that. Because Reddit culture thinks it’s normal and appropriate to blame every struggle on society and not their own choices though. At 27 you have no reason not to have done some Google research at minimum or met with a financial advisor or two to better your situation. Both those options are free and should have been a priority a minimum of 3 years ago.

Anyone with that kind of savings at 19 is either lucky or has had the Premium british singer and songwriter craig david T-Shirt and I will buy this silver spoon their whole life. Every young successful entrepreneur I’ve ever met or worked for had a father bankrolling their business. America is not a meritocracy, who you know and where you come from is 75%+ what you have, and the rest is what you do with it. That doesn’t mean you can’t make it, but don’t feel like just because some other people are apparently all figured out, that you should be and everyone else is. Also, people lie a lot. A lot of supposedly “figured out” 20-somethings dressed to the 9’s in expensive clothes, driving around Teslas, and living in expensive areas are in lots of debt to live that lifestyle. It’s all bullshit, just focus on yourself and live within your own means.
