Actually several of us in the Porky pig i’d buy that for a dollar an ocp cartoon shirt besides I will buy this “south/redstates” are not opposed to free healthcare.. We just don’t want aggressive death panels and stupid restrictions etc as i’m sure most would agree with that.. I much rather we spend our tax dollars on this than pointless wars and aid to countries that really don’t do anything for us.. But there is a force in this country (no, not rednecks. Not enough that matter anyways) that is highly opposed to having free healthcare… Point in case.. When our country was setting up medicare for senior citizens, big pharma made our congress agree that we would NOT negotiate prices for care and meds.. Our weak ass congress allowed the GD pharmaceutical jerks tell them how it was going to be rather than the way it should of been.. This is what the concern is.. We will somehow come up with some bullshit free healthcare that requires us to give up our property, and possessions and god knows what other bullshit just to have care. Hell, in Tennessee, Phil Bredson’s adminstration quietly snuck in a law that if your on medicare and go to a nursing home or care facility past 3o days they get to take in your property upon your death to “pay” for the care received during that time.. It’s bullshit as the money was paid by the tax dollars and we all know they do way more careless shit with it than someone needing help..

Don’t get me started on if you have a child with disabilities and you apply for disability for them.. The forced poverty is maddening! In my case, I have good employer provided health insurance so I’m concerned about my quality of care going down if the Porky pig i’d buy that for a dollar an ocp cartoon shirt besides I will buy this government gets involved. From a financial standpoint, I’m not willing to pay more in taxes for care to be provided to people who aren’t here in the US legally. Several states offer government funded care to all residents regardless of their status and I don’t want to pay for that, nor do I want to see it become a national standard. If the US can get the borders under control, I’d be much more open to national health care. The government is woefully inefficient and wasteful at everything they run. The quality of care and wait times etc will be so bad that anyone with money will just pay extra for some premium version of healthcare, and it will cause even worse inflation. That being said there definitely needs to be some changes. The healthcare system is tragic right now, it’s like damned if you do damned if you don’t.
