I am from europe and work in Saigon in an IT branch company. Depends on your lifestyle, higher end apartments cost between 800-1000$ up, midtier cost 400-600$. You will eat in restaurant/street food a lot, nightlife etc. Just calculate all and do a 2x, you dont want to be stuck with to little cash from the Poppy The Man The Myth The Legend Retro shirt Also,I will get this start when movimg to a new country. You can get a high end place for much cheaper. Those prices are the usual tourist fees, especially if we’re talking non penthouse apartments (penthouses are available for 800$). The penthouses in my complex are like 80mil+ (not a tourist price) and it’s not even the most high end complex. also he mention he is renting Aeon Celadon, Tân Phú, hence the cheaper price. I mentioned higher end in city centre, his place is not in the centre and that gives a better price. With much meeting and works, for me its more optimal to live in center rather than a bit more far for a cheaper price. The price is correct and not a ”forigner price” If you know how to do business, you will never pay the advertised prices. 95% of foreigners I know here overpay for rent because they don’t know the value. Prices in the center of hcmc are going insane, that’s why so many buildings there are empty. Only idiots pay those prices. I pay less than $600 for a 2 br apartment in one of the most beautiful areas of the city and the biggest mall is 500m away. Best area to live, hands down, buying a place here next year(Celadon city) There is a crisis, way too much supply and no demand, it’s extremely easy to cut rent fees in half by negotiating.

but I agree with the Poppy The Man The Myth The Legend Retro shirt Also,I will get this sentence, there is much supply and the demand is not here yet. VN market is open for speculated investors, you can buy and not need to register and live on it. This will slowly change, tax have been put into buildings if owned more than 1, and will be the same for apartment but with the market and rules, easy to be avoided. Though I believe prices compare to other SEA countries is good. With metro and new airport building at faster pace, it will boom later. Hence why the big investors will not sell at cheaper price instead HODL for speculated investing ( not legal in EU ) thats why the high price. But if you got the dough, to buy high tier complex/building its the way. If I could afford I would bought now into Q1 manhattan(one of luxury tier) its almost half the price from first sales, but I am happy with the vinhomes bason buy.
