I have more close female friends than male friends because I don’t like sports, cars, hunting, or tools, and that eliminates a lot of important Man Stuff ™ that men bond over. Not all, of course – I have several close guy friends and a decent amount of casual friends. But most of my close friends are women, and my wife is not really given a choice as to whether or not that’s okay with her, because many of them have been my friends for 10-15+ years and it would be ridiculous to suggest I abandon most of my friends because they have a vagina.
