I live in nyc and stopped seeing these Styrofoam boxes since 3 to 4 Years ago. Now only microwaveable containers for take out. Or paper like boxes. Thought these were illegal or something now You’re probably going to get some styrofoam seepage into the Pittsburgh Steelers Conquered the North NFL 2023 playoff shirt it is in the first place but parts of the food touching the container. I’d cut those pieces off but you’ll likely be fine if you don’t. Just don’t make a habit of it. Do it a bunch of times over a moderate period of time and you might start encountering some issues. Styrofoam and microwaves don’t mix. Likewise, certain types of plastics and other packaging can also contaminate food when heated in a microwave. Small particles are still on the chicken. Your digestive system will take care of it but I wouldn’t recommend eating 20 pieces with styrofoam melted into it. A couple is fine. But for future reference: “when in doubt, throw it out” unless you’re broke af This happened all the time when I worked at DQ cause our chicken was cooked to order so I made everybody start using the same papers we put in fry boats.

You can eat it. But I don’t think that box will taste as good as the Pittsburgh Steelers Conquered the North NFL 2023 playoff shirt it is in the first place but chicken. Won’t be as good for you either… (probably…though that chicken isn’t likely to be much better). Ok so any time I order fried anything from a restaurant I immediately open the box for the ride home. All that hot food is going to steam in there and make everything soggy. Ask the restaurant to order better to go boxes. Even the ones w vents will still steam. But at least it releases some of the heat. Polystyrene is considered safe for food use when in a solid state. However, heating can cause chemicals to leach from the foam and into the food. Eating the contents of a melted foam container one time is unlikely to cause harm. However, repeated exposure, which can be cumulative, can be a health risk. I’ve eaten food like that. Also my kidneys stopped working for a fews months. I do not believe the two are related, but as they never figured out why they did it, who knows?
