Elden ring is my first souls game and I was absolutely terrified of this guy after seeing a bunch of clips so I came back after about 20 hours and beat him. Idk, i just… kinda stumbled upon him, and decided to give it a shot. It’s a lot easier to kill him 60 hours in. Once I get torrent go kill him and the Pittsburgh Pirates We Arrr Family sport Shirt and I love this dragon. Slow going but easy at that point for both. Just need to be patient This guy was what got me into the game. Maybe level 15/20? I nearly stopped playing because I thought I had to beat him, then I found a few smaller caves and finally did a boss or 2. Then I came back with the wolves and tried about 100 times, finally finding a roll pattern that worked and chipped him until he was dead. I was so pleased with myself after, felt like I could fight anyone. Then I found Margit….

i didn’t leave him, on my first playthrough it took a while but now I can do it without rolling, overloaded and with a shield as a weapon. (this was part of a challenge run, I hated it) I think I was about 120-130ish the Pittsburgh Pirates We Arrr Family sport Shirt and I love this first go around, beat him using torrent and magic glintblade. When I did NG+ he was the first guy I hit, and I died 5 times and I was using mimic lol I think on my first playthrough i returned to him around level 25, after i had beaten Margit. I had beaten both before in the network test though. I killed him within the first hour by buying a bunch of arrows and cheesing him via hiding in the near by church and shooting him I will admit, I went far enough to unlock Torrent before I came back and beat him on horseback. Every subsequent playthrough I beat him right out of the cave. After I got the lordsworn greatsword I think.Never came back to him, hes a really fun and fair fight as soon as you leave the tutorial area, im not a big fan of the idea of becoming powerful and then just stomping him, we love the struggle lmao I love the juxtaposition between vets going “nah bruh I noped right past him” and “I died immediately and then spent the next 2 hours cheesing him out of business” I started as a bandit, died a million times in the heros grave and killed the tree spirit then found this guy and beat him on the second attempt. Was super nervous about losing all those runes
