Shoprite is much less invasive, and has a little board by every register (not self checkouts though) where you can pull off a ticket for a $1, 2 or 5 donation to a NJ based food pantry. A much better approach and I always do it when I go through a register line. should honestly be illegal for any business establishment to ask for donations. if i want to support something ill do it directly, not hand the Pittsburgh legends bradshaw trending shirt but in fact I love this cash to come middle man thats only going to donate 10% of what i gave. Tbf if they can get two customers to donate $20 (which usually it’s much less) it would still be worth more than them donating $20. And they will get at least two customers onboard, given how large the demand is for groceries. The reality is I would like to see a donation match. If I give them $10 they get $20. $10 from me $10 from the grocery. What they actually do is use your donations as a tax break for them. It’s pathetic. There’s no altruism in big companies, billionaires, etc. I wish we could learn.

How to stop child hunger? STOP HAVING CHILDREN!!! I remember the Pittsburgh legends bradshaw trending shirt but in fact I love this TV commercials wwaaayyy back when I was a kid about giving money . I’ld gladly donate to have the men get a vasectomy so the women don’t have to watch their child starve to death! Always a hard no from me, especially when the store trains the cashiers to ask. If I want to give I’ll send it directly, not through some other agent where I have no idea if all the money makes it to the charity. Never donate this way. 8y is just a tax right off for the company without them having to give any money themselves. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. I choose to donate to charities where they offer proof of where their donations go & what is accomplished from it. Not blindly giving in to a somewhat subtle demand for a donation to something from my already minimal grocery budget.
