Food inflation is running riot. I honestly don’t know why, as I don’t see any farmers leaping around with glee at the Piss Jugman funny Shirt But I will love this tractor loads of moolah they are pocketing. I am (semi)-retired (about to go back into work, but in a new job for an overseas company – I am not taking a job of anyone else). Essentially, my house will be my retirement. But even I think that a house price crash would be “a good thing”. Just to allow the younger people some chance of getting out of rented accomodation to a house of their own. The cause of all this? Frankly I am old enough to remember Margaret Thatcher. And frankly I blame her single minded, semi-religious free market thinking (Ha! as fucking if she was thinking) for a lot of our problems. Energy? Mrs T. Housing? Mrs T. Railways? Mrs T. Not to defend the old bitch but selling off the railways was Major, under pressure from the EU. It was called The Railways Act and was generally considered a fucking awful idea.
