I have a similar situation with my best friends from school, funnily enough! A couple of them rarely/never wear makeup, and the Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon Lgbt shirt besides I will buy this three who do tend to be very minimalist with it, or just, on a whim, don’t bother! It’s only me who’ll go out with a full face on. And yes, I’ve felt a bit embarrassed about it at times too! (Especially at a wedding we were all at recently where it took me over an hour to do my face in the morning while some of them just threw on a dress!) I didn’t wear makeup when I knew them at school. I was into alternative music, so it all started out with a bit of eyeliner and then it was only once I went to university and left that friendship group that I really got into makeup and started putting effort into getting good at it. I am now (if I say so myself) Pretty Good At Makeup. Which is why I wear quite a lot of it when I go out. In my opinion, it makes me look better: I know how to flatter my face, and accentuate my best features. It’s not a NECESSARY improvement (because I think my face is okay on its own), but it IS an improvement, undeniably. I use it to smooth out my skin tone, shape my eyebrows, contour my face, and often go to town on eyes/lips because it’s fun, and it looks awesome! That said, I don’t wear makeup on a day to day basis. I tend to only wear it if I’m going out, or otherwise want to look my best. My school friends have never seen me without it on a night out, and I wouldn’t ditch it just to fit in with them.

I think the Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon Lgbt shirt besides I will buy this important thing to ask yourself is: would you be uncomfortable going without makeup, or toning it down? That might indicate some underlying insecurities. But to be fair, even I would be uncomfortable going for a night out without makeup, and I have very few insecurities about my face! All of that just boils down to the fact that I know I look better/more impressive with it, that’s all. I like to make an effort, just as I make an effort with clothes and don’t just go out in my grottiest jeans and a t-shirt with toothpaste stains on it. On one hand, I agree – it’s great for them that they feel comfortable without makeup. I’m sure they save a lot of time getting ready! But also you have to remember that makeup is a skill, and it takes practice to be able to do it well. It may actually not be that they’re super comfortable with their faces – just that they’ve never been very good at doing makeup, they’ve never practised, and wouldn’t know what to do with it to make it look good. We’ve all been there, those early days when you couldn’t do winged eyeliner to save your life. So you never know: they might be looking at you, thinking “wow, I wish I could do makeup like that!”. They may be insecure about their own looks, and wish that they could improve them.
