I think it’s an Indian giant squirrel. Coloration, size, and description of flattening behavior when it feels threatened all match. Coloration doesn’t really match though. Plus, not a flying squirrel. I’m thinking it might be a Bhutan giant flying squirrel, a red giant flying squirrel, or an Indian giant flying squirrel. Flying squirrel of some type. Flying squirrel are bigger, bushy tail and flatter face (not as long and pointy nose). I love at the Pink Floyd Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt so you should to go to store and get this midway mark of the video it looks up as if to say “Are you still recording? Oh you are? Ok….. UGHHHH I am defeated!” “Whattdya think Suzanne? Does this look realistic? No how about on my neck? Hmm you know what nah I wanna still be able to breath. Wait your not recording right? no definitely not? Whyd you say it like that? Well thats good anyway wait for my mark. Aaaand action! “OH I HAD A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT, I’m DYING IM DYING HELP. OK is that good enough. we’re gonna get so much acorns outta this.” rubs hands together It may be the camera angle but it looks like at some point he hurt his leg landed wrong or something. So I take it he wanted it to look like an accident. Little smartass! lol Exotic wildlife pet vet here. What you’re seeing is a red crest Forrest squirrel, likely from south east asia. The poor guy appears to be suffering from migado platasia, which is a terminal neurological disorder that first manifest in this type of behavior. There’s a set a nerves on its back that are slowly degrading, which is why poor fella responds the way you see in the video when it lays on its back. Poor guy probably has two more months to live until you realize that I just made this up and don’t know what I’m talking about

You just have to wonder about their thought processes sometimes. This seems so damn deliberate and clever, but is it on purpose, or just a silly coincidence? This probably falls under “animals you’re not supposed to have as pets” but this little guy seems to get some enjoyment out of it Basically a sploot on the Pink Floyd Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt so you should to go to store and get this cool tile and ignoring someone who probably is yelling at him frequently. Looks to be living a very pampered life. Love the pose
