My favourite thing I heard recently is that if library’s were invested today Americans would call it communism and reject it. The big arguments against it are usually increased taxes (which they usually end up being ok with when you mention that they’ll end up paying less overall once they don’t have an insurance premium anymore), and that the Philadelphia Phillies Phillygoat Major Baseball shirt also I will do this US Government would almost certainly fuck it up (which is valid seeing how badly they botched the VA Healthcare system). Free healthcare is paid by taxes. paid Healthcare is less due to having insurance so you have to pay less overall. You and a bunch of other people have to pay for the free healthcare through taxes without insurance making it more expensive. Sorry if I didn’t explain it well I think the main concern is that standards and availability of care would decrease as would innovation in the industry. Personally I think a very basic plan should be available to everyone with anything above that being on you. Something like how social security will keep you from starving to death but not pay for jet setting.

Some of us have “free Healthcare” through the Philadelphia Phillies Phillygoat Major Baseball shirt also I will do this VA. I found out 2 years after a test I had a disease. I just found out my Cpap that was issued by the VA I’ve used for the last 10 years was recalled as dangerous before it was ever given to me. Yeah free Healthcare is worth every penny you pay for it. Nothing is ever free. That’s first. Second they don’t fear free healthcare because they realize someone has to pay and that’s what they fear. The realistic problems I see with goverment healthcare is that people use it, even when they shouldn’t. This leads to massive wait times. I grew up in a country that had a very distinct separation between public and private health care. If you went private you were attended to quickly, if you went government you could sit at a doctor or hospital forever and not be attended to. When you don’t pay you are more likely to use it when it’s unnecessary and then you ruin it for thise that do need it. In my new country of residence public healthcare is more common and they even ran tv/radio ads to educate people on when not to come to the ER or call an ambulance. The other part of free healthcare is the ever increasing cost and the lag effect of economics. For the first time in history we are seeing lower birth rates in many nations. All our economics are set up on there being more people than before. When this stops then the younger generations have to pay higher taxes to cover older peoples medical bills. You wind up having a massive amount of old ppl not contributing to the economy while clogging up public healthcare while the smaller younger generation foot the bill and then there is nothing for when they are old.
