I realised after posting this I might need to clear this up. Specifically I told my boss “I’m sick and feel like this insert symptoms, been around a family member who tested positive for covid a day later. If I’m still feeling like this on Saturday I might need to take the Personalized baby smith T-Shirt it is in the first place but day off.” I work at a busy bar, if it is covid, or even just a flu as I’m expecting, it’s dangerous for me to be around my coworkers and also the hundreds of people I serve in a enclosed space. If it was an office job, I’d understand this comment. OP, I appreciate your willingness to give your boss a heads-up in the event you are still sick. The FB conversation is wildly inappropriate imo. I am assuming that page is open to all employees so your boss knew you’d likely see it?

Of course a bigger point here is my opinion shouldn’t matter. We each need to do whatever is necessary to take care of ourselves. I’ll make my own generalization here. A majority of people in the Personalized baby smith T-Shirt it is in the first place but US at least don’t know how to take care of themselves (and I’m guessing they may by true elsewhere). When I use to bartend, if my boss even sniffed the idea of one of us being sick. He made sure we stayed home. Considering it can become a pretty bad health issue, if a costumer got sick. Really? Cause the warehouse I currently work at, often times it’s my older co-workers who call out, not the people under 30. Your statement is a blanket one, which is wrong. A lot of times I’ve noticed people forcing themselves to come in, not from having a good work ethic, or wanting to make a good impression. From needing the money, if they don’t, they’ll be short on something that is needed for survival. Out of the entire original post, this is your focus? Why is it acceptable that people think it’s ok to decide when others are “sick enough” to miss work, or want to dictate when it’s ok and when it’s not to call in. Too early and your concern isn’t legit. Too late and you’re an asshole.
