If that group is particularly small they throw random in who completely derail the Pee Wee Herman Icon The Rebel Adventure Bike Bike Rentals T-Shirt and by the same token and experience for everyone. I have watched our district run every single director off every year for 11 years with those shenanigans. I have 180 6th graders signed up for band next year. By myself, in a room that is smaller than our weight room, ag room, or technology room. They split into 2 classes. My admin is in board hiring a 2nd director, but the school board is only offering a parapro position, meaning likely 0 actual training in the subject. Leaving me with close to 90 kids. Yes!!!! I have 17 this year in a public school and it’s a dream come true compared to the 22 that I had last year. My hardest class has 7 kids. My biggest class of 16 is my best class. Numbers don’t mean much when you have 4 chuckleheads in a class of 7. My girls are in first grade (twins) one has 15 and the other 16 in the class. One class is perfect and the other CHAOS just because of the mix of personalities (3 boys who will never be in class together again, in this district, our admin plans the classes very very carefully) those boys were me and my best friend in school…we were in 2nd grade together, and the school must’ve said “never again”…they must’ve forgotten, ’cause they slipped up and put us in the same 6th grade class if it helps, he’s now a doctor, and I went from the armed forces and into teaching, so there’s hope for some of us naughty boys

16 for me would have been heaven!!! I had over 30 in every class, and over 30% of those had letters & numbers attached (special needs of one kind or another), and no paras; no ELA help; nothing. I spent a majority of my time on classroom management. Very little time for actual teaching in circumstances like that. When I taught in China I had TA, and holy shit, having an adult handle the Pee Wee Herman Icon The Rebel Adventure Bike Bike Rentals T-Shirt and by the same token and behavior during class time was a fucking godsend. 10/10 I had a TA in a public school, and she was more work than she was a help. She would interrupt me. And I asked her to help me with behavior, and she said that it wasn’t her job. This. Having a TA is great if it’s a good TA. My current TA just yells at kids and picks fights with them. Half the time it’s not even a kid who doung anything they weren’t supposed too. I’m actually having a meeting with her and my admin next week because nothing changed when I spoke to her on my own.
