It is very rare for a group of people organized by skin color to have a specific unique culture, if this ever does happen…shit probably went down at some point. I don’t think “white” is a culture really, and there’s a lot of reasons here. Americans have a culture, but not “White”. A white guy from America is going to be completely different culturally from a white guy living in the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this baltics. You take these two people and try to deduce their cultural similarities, what are those going to be? We have “Black Culture” in the United States, which is complicated, but the only reason that even exists is that in the early years of the country these people were all lumped together and relegated to certain roles. Even then, this is a shaky argument. If you have a 1st generation Jamaican immigrant to the US and try to argue there is a “Black Culture” that Jamaican presumably has…the argument isn’t going to go far.

Because yt ppl don’t have any culture. What people are confusing for white culture is ethnic culture, ie Germanic, Nordic, British…none of which are strictly white. White culture is literally just cultural appropriation, and being offended when called out for it. But also because ‘white’ is not a race, white Americans have many different cultures, depending on their ancestral heritage. White people don’t have an ubiquitous unified culture because British, and German, and Polish people, as a few examples, have wildly different cultures and all of them are considered white. Go to New Orleans and see the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this music played on the street every day. Taste the food and see the people. That’s just one unique aspect of America culture (props given to mainly black folks who pioneered the culture and music but still overall American.

Go to New England and you will encounter another group of white folks with unique traditions and the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this ability to handle harsh winters. No, really. Contrary to popular opinion, words have definitions, not just subjectively defined by who decides at the moment what the definition is, to use to their liking. And the definition of racism is very clear. Insisting white people have no culture is about as racist as insisting black people have no culture. Anyone who says otherwise is being dishonest, or does know the definition of racism. I would say it’s because ‘whiteness’ isn’t a culture. Like, Catholic white people in Louisiana with French ancestry and Protestant white people in the Midwest with Swedish ancestry aren’t really vibing the same. If there are cultural traditions they either come from the area people live, the religion they are, or the ancestry of their family, none of which you can really mash up into ‘whiteness’. My partner’s family has Russian ancestry and they have all these Christmas traditions I’d never heard of and eat food I’d never seen in my life. My family is Catholic and he is equally mystified by our traditions. You could probably say the Midwest has a culture and the South has a culture and like, California has a culture but that’s as far as I’d take it.

It’s probably more about ethnicity/heritage. The culture of an Irish American Catholic is not the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this same as the culture of the Italian Americans or Greek Americans. Because “white culture” is not a culture. I’m a WASP my culture is incredibly different from that of my culturally Catholic husband. “White” is not a coherent group. The only reason “black culture” is a thing is because that is a culture born of a specific cultural origin (slavery). White isn’t a cultural group. Just as you wouldn’t say “European culture” because there are different European nations and regions, each with their own unique culture, you wouldn’t say “White culture” in the US because while there are similarities between a bunch of white 20 somethings in Seattle and a bunch of white people in their 70’s in Alabama, to say they’re the same culture is to gloss over a LOT of really important differences. Hell, even for 20’s somethings in Seattle, if you had a group of MAGA “Young Republicans” and a group of left leaning Democrats, how much culture can you really say they have in common?

No one says they don’t have a culture. Some see it as a primitive culture given how new it is compared to some of the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this others around the world. Because white American is not a homogeneous group with a singular culture. There’s midwestern, southern, Appalachian, coastal, ect. The United States is too big for “white American culture” to be one thing. It’s more like East Coast culture, Midwest culture, West Coast culture, etc. As a ‘white’ person I identify mainly with my Italian heritage rather than some sort of ‘white’ culture. I imagine most people are the same. I used to have this point of view, until I became American myself. I realized that the USA has culturally colonized the whole world to the point that the culture’s spread over the world and ubiquity makes it virtually invisible. Well…my culture is white trash Nascar, bikers, adultery, religious extremism, and a healthy dose of pills/meth. I’ll stick to claiming no culture and claim my only relative was my irish traveler great grandmother Bonnie who took a knife to the side at the circus. Because they’re basically “mutts” so they’re a mix of a bunch of stuff so since they’re so many things at once they don’t follow one so they’re just “American” whereas for example in my family all 4 of my grandparents are Greek and 3 were born there so my family directly traces our roots somewhere whereas my dads friend is like Irish Italian British etc all mixed together so he doesn’t really have one particular culture. Whatever, wherever or whomever has tried to convince you of this is toxic and you need to run. you are likely being indoctrinated by some very self serving people. This question is general and full of assumptions that are not true or so general as to be completely useless for a meaningful discussion.
They do? Belittling other cultures is their biggest traits. Segregating themselves from minorities in the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this most legal way possible. Kicking minorities out of their neighborhoods. Calling the police on someone who is having fun with their kids in the park. Supporting blue lives after they Gun down a 12 year old. Putting raisins in everything they can think of. White American culture is thriving! There is no “white” culture until the left needs to say things like “white culture is racist” even Smithsonian had their exhibit against “white culture” It’s all just a thing they are gaslighting us on to try to drive us crazy. White America treats its cultural beliefs and touchstones as “normal”. Same way that people talk about not having an accent. Also as people have pointed out, white people may be part of a culture but the only unifying element of white culture is white supremacy.
I am of south east asian decent and I love some white traditions. I was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in Dallas. My culture is country/western, I’ve competed in reining/rodeo my entire life. I wear western boots, hat, spurs, big belt buckle, boot cut jeans etc most days. I am surrounded by people of the Peanuts Characters X Byu Cougars Christmas Shirt In addition,I will do this same culture, and our food and music and everything that comes with it. I’m white, and that is my culture. But it is not WHITE culture, it is not exclusive to white people. My community of this culture is VERY diverse, we have plenty of people of color. I have countless peers who are Latino, black, of various types of Asian descent, and more. Here in Europe people tend to make fun of Americans for having no culture, but it is not linked to skin colour in any way. Some Europeans live in houses that are older than the united states of America and it tends to blow the Americans mind that this is possible. The main reason for that (to my understanding) is that there is not really any recorded history from the times before European settlers (invaders) arrived. And the native Americans in northern America also did not leave any (at least not many) structures such as buildings behind. It’s different in south and middle America where the advanced civilizations of the Americas resided, also the population there mostly mixed with Europeans (e.g. in Colombia) instead of being replaced.
