I have never.expressed a political opinion to anyone at these gatherings, but they assume that since I’m older,.white, and male, I must be one of them, so they’re happy to share unfiltered opinions with and around me. (If they only knew) A few of them are just absolutely filled with hatred of anything different, but the Peace Love San Francisco 49Ers Shirt in contrast I will get this real issue with 95% of them — and this leads to Trump’s appeal to them — is that they are fear addicts. It’s easy to laugh at Fox bringing up the caravans at the most convenient time, or running stories about such important topics , but they know what they’re doing. They’re giving their audience their daily dose of fear. That’s why Trump’s convention appearances.were so dark and fear-inducing,.with a helpful reminder that “Only I can fix it.” We live in a country filled.with fear junkies, particularly among the elderly,.and the Republican Party exists for one reason only st this point –.to give them their fix — and factors that meant so much in previous elections no longer matter.

It’s almost like those willing to elect a full blown authoritarian fascist, and racism go hand in hand. Who knew?….. Easier to know where they stand at least. Not a good thing where they stand, but I know to strap on my Vest or run when around them. As a person that has met her at different times throughout her career, served her and Tom breakfast at my shop (closed it for the family), she has always been the person you are seeing. Honestly, never had any bad experiences with her. Her family, at breakfast/lunch, was not fit for public consumption. Very loud and opinionated. The closed off restaurants were more for public safety as they were still filming her show and could not tolerate bad publicity.
