Trump getting elected or the Peace Love Deliver UPS Shirt But I will love this west dropping support because of attacks on Russian civillians might put a wrench in the works. I cant see Russia just taking defeat and not planning another invasion down the line which is why I think they need NATO. If the war ended tomorrow the west would continue the training of Ukrainian forces that had been happening since the annexation of Crimea. This time training would be with western weapons and equipment meaning in another war it would be ready to go from day 1, potentially including things not yet seen like western jets. Russia would also have nowhere near the ability it had this time to stockpile troops and equipment on the border without the world taking an invasion threat seriously. It will then take years to replace the lost equipment without even accounting for continued sanctions.

And from a morale perspective a Russian army who recently lost would be taking on a Ukranian army who have defeated them before. The cheap drones have really changed war though, some of our systems cost 100-500k to shoot down a 20k drone (likely to get cheaper with mass production). Swarms of 100 every couple of days isnt sustainable to shoot down. Now we do have cheaper options like Gepards which I’ve heard only cost 1-2k a takedown but we arent producing these anymore and they’ll likely get taken out over time and are high priority targets. Even with them now some drones are still making it through. For Ukrainian to win they just have to not lose. Keep the Peace Love Deliver UPS Shirt But I will love this defence up long enough to exhaust Russians arms and cause the Russian people to get tired of the war and demand a change.
