I never saw a penny, did not get rotated home, and no Purple Heart. Never went into politics. I guess I’m just not John Kerry.

I’m a medical student so we see lots of patients in emergency with these. One fellow with 4 bullets lodged up in his left leg described it as fireworks exploding under his skin? For some reasons, this man wouldn’t share why he didn’t get his bullets removed despite being shot a couple of years ago. Looking back at our conversation, I think he was so traumatised after which made him unable to reach out for help.
