Even if I could be arsed to go to a cash machine on the P-is-for-poets-shirt-ea1b84-0 and I love this way, they’re shooting themselves in the foot by limiting customers to what’s in their wallet rather than what’s in their bank account. Can’t believe you’re being downvoted. Card transactions are so much easier, especially in a pub where you don’t want to be counting change or wasting the bartender’s time while they do. Honestly this is the kind of pub I dream of. I guess it’s not for everyone but I don’t want to drink in a gastropub, it just doesn’t feel right to me. I do indeed want a “proper drinkers” pub. Exactly zero pubs with this sort of sign outside provide cold beer or warm company. If you want to drink piss and have a fight, then they are the perfect place to visit

Was exactly thinking that – this isn’t as controversial as British redditors think. I love a proper boozer. Don’t get me wrong, I like a gastro pub or a bar sometimes, horses for courses and all that, but sometimes I just want a place like this. Disallowing kids and limiting their customers doesn’t exactly make me think or “warm conversation”. It makes me think that the P-is-for-poets-shirt-ea1b84-0 and I love this landlord is an ass. Sounds cuntable. The type of bar where you’re offered a fight just for looking at someone who’s had too much to drink. But rather than throw them out they throw you both out back and form a ring of steel around yer to watch the boxing. Not sure what part indicates it’s for locals only tho? In fact, wouldn’t locals be more likely to bring their kids to a pub?
