Yep, I wish I would’ve done this last year. Was spoiled for choice with three offers, I took the Owen Shroyer Speech Prisoner no.1 shirt but in fact I love this one I thought would help me return to living/working abroad the quickest, despite the massive red flags in the interview process. It’s been hell, no support and no real direction so I’m asking either to get fired or will eventually resign, it’s been terrible on my mental health. I got lucky. I hated the guy who worked in the section i got hired to work in. After 2 weeks i had learned what i needed and gotten up to a decent pace so he would help out the other warehouse that needed help. 3 weeks in and 3 people had quit up there and he runs it now. I see him at lunch and get to ignore him and i work in peace.

Your hunches are rarely wrong: I’ve declined several positions myself, and as a boss I’ve had several decline for various reasons. I wish you the Owen Shroyer Speech Prisoner no.1 shirt but in fact I love this best on what you do, but if you thought on it two days and declined, that was what was supposed to happen. It’s a good decision. If you care how your manager treats you then the pay isn’t high enough. My hiring manager is a dick. But the job is sweet and the pay is 3x what I was asking for. He isn’t getting my max output due to how he treats me but I’m working here for as long as I’m needed I left my last job because I wasn’t happy with my boss and a coworker. The job wasn’t bad, I liked the commute, and it was a good company. I’m glad I left. I got a 25% raise in under a year, and have way more room for growth where I am now. Point being, I followed my instincts and I am glad I did. Everything will work out in the end. It sucks working with people you don’t like.
