It’s that stuff that gets the Our constitution was written to stop people like these shirt in addition I really love this point across, and the 2nd amendment loving Republicans repeatedly lambast such activities. The reality is that peaceful protest only works when it happens when it’s within institution. The people only really have power when they show they’re willing to take it all the way. American and Russian culture only learns when someone is willing to violently push back on them, hence current events Hence the cynicism. If the outcomes of the Floyd protests are our standards for success—then we can expect most of the country to practically accept abortion being illegal in most places by the 2024 election. It’s just that Protests in the US nowadays amount to the equivalent of Greg from Wales shouting at the British Parliament in his native accent. Nothing will happen until at least 3% of the population wake up and protest for weeks on end. Why 3%? Because that’s the percentage at which governments historically start to get their shit together.
