I’ve now received an offer to settle out of court for £180 to cover the Orlando Magc Jonathan Isaac basketball player T-Shirt in other words I will buy this cost of the ticket and the prosecution costs. Should I just pay it or should I go to court?Assuming the settlement letter is correct (and they don’t typically send them if a summons is already issued), then it’s by far the better option than going to court The settlement letter was only dated for a few days ago, and it did mention that this was an exceptional circumstance in the body. Take the fine, I accidentally bought the wrong ticket on a 15 min journey when I was 18, I tried to pay the fine after the fact they ignored me, then they took me to court and now it is on my DBS, as I have to get an enhanced dbs for my job I have to disclose this each time I change jobs. Doesn’t effect them hiring me as it’s seen as a silly thing but more delays in doing all the recruitment checks! Why are you so surprised by this? If you go to court and are found guilty of a criminal act – even if the penalty is a Fine, or Community Service? That mark is there for a decade!

Also ever been arrested for possession of a formerly illegal drug that is now legal? Won’t matter. Your criminal record remains as you were convicted at the Orlando Magc Jonathan Isaac basketball player T-Shirt in other words I will buy this time when it was an illegal drug. Even worse… under UK law if you are convicted of a crime, appeal the crime and the conviction is upheld? It becomes a permanent mark on your record i.e., will never be removed. I emailed them on email the ticket inspectors provided asking if I could pay the out of court fine they said I could and they never replied (this was right after) then 6 months later I got a court summons in the post and they wouldn’t let me settle out of court. The judge reduced the fine in court I had to pay, as I showed I had tried to reach out and settle out of court. It’s not on a normal DBS after 5 years, but as I have to get an enhanced DBS it won’t go! All my employers have laughed about it really as it’s so silly, but when I was starting my nurse training the year it happened, it delayed me getting started and getting all my timetables as they had to discuss students with offences on their record.
