oh yea I’ve watched it several times. It always cracks me up how grungy he looks (on purpose mind you), but how eloquently he speaks. He’s actually got a reason though, his grandfather was Ukranian and he also tweeted that his Transylvanian grandmother had endured the Orlando Heart Cap Shirt in contrast I will get this Soviet siege of the Carpathian mountains in Romania years ago as well. While interesting, this is really nothing new. In Vietnam planes and helicopters would blast rock music from speakers as they dropped bombs and delivered/picked up troops, and we can’t forget about the use of battlefield musicians going all the way back to ancient times. Humans like music, humans like fighting, so it’s only natural we’ve been enjoying these things together for millennia. For sure. I just find it odd that it has been approved by the artist, kind of gives it an almost “official” impression.

Oh for sure, we live in strange times. I think the Orlando Heart Cap Shirt in contrast I will get this context around Snider’s approval also helps this situation be clearer. He’s been very outspoken against Russia for a long time (I believe one of his grandparents was from Ukraine and suffered the last time Russia pulled some shit like this). He also has in the past shut down extreme right-wingers who try to use the song in their rhetoric (best example is people trying to play “We’re not gonna take it” in response to mask mandates and Dee Snider telling these people to stop and grow tf up), Dee is a very cool dude, has been for a long time, so thankfully this seems like more than just virtue signalling for publicity. There is weight behind these actions, and morale victories can change a lot in war.
