It really wasn’t so bad over the Original picolas Cage meme shirt and I love this last few years, except for the scammers begging for money. 5ish years ago, it was 80% dick, 10% ad’s, and 10% real strangers. EDIT – I watch his gaming videos as well as his Omegle videos. Downvoting me for the truth is kinda silly. The Omegle videos are WAY more PG than his gaming videos. Even when they edit out some of the words, you know they are saying racist and sexist shit. I remember using this site a lot in 2012. I had fun with it back then, and was thinking of getting back on it again sometime in the future. Guess I can’t now… please consider donating to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an organization that fights for your rights online Cute idea, but when put into practice the internet will gladly remind you of the kind of people that live in this world. It mentions the original intent the site was launched with – and if you were around then, you really do realize how the online landscape has changed. At least…in this case, the changes in outlook. It’s honestly the trajectory of any internet service. Early adopters make it a nice community and as it matures more and more weirdos come in. I’m bipolar and occasionally start feeling super social and need an outlet. Omegle was a great for me to talk to people in a safe environment, do improv, make people laugh, and interact with different people. I’ve sat and talked with individuals for HOURS at a time on there and eventually we’d exchange discord but I never continue those relationships – I treat it like Airplane Friends and I tell them that. You’re there and chatting for a time, but once you get off the flight you’ll never see them again. That said, I’m also fine with it being shut down because it’s an absolute cesspool 99% of the time

Another site ruined by bad parents who are too lazy to supervise their kids and pedos who exploited that. I hadn’t used it in years but always had a ton of fun goofing around in the Original picolas Cage meme shirt and I love this text chat and then the college chat where you needed a uni email to access once that was added. This adds more to my thought that people under 18 need to be banned from accessing any non-educational content on the internet. Ban minors from all forms of social media, forums, video sharing sites, etc. What would supervising your kid do in this situation? Are parents supposed to just sit with their kids any time theyre online? Obviously, if possible, block these websites (like tv parental controls, thats a thing right?) But even then, its not like parents are gonna know EVERY dangerous website. There’s screen time restrictions, passwords for downloading apps, and only including apps that have been approved by the parent using the password. You can also bury safari away so they can’t find it.
