As an American, I was surprised when hanging out with a Japanese musician on tour who would continually order Miller. About all I know regarding Belgian ales is Chimay, Delirium Tremens and Duval. It is pretty hard to find anything else here, although there was a bar in Oakland that had tons of expensive Belgian ales on tap. OK, I’m recognizing a few other names on the Original no Time For Slut shirt moreover I will buy this list. Chimay blue is one of my favourite beers and Delirium is pretty good too imo. If you can have only three Belgian beers, you could do much worse. My favorite recent joke about Bud Light was on that article that a Chinese brewery worker was caught pissing in a Chinese beer, someone commented “how did they get the Bud Light recipe?”

As an American, what Belgian beers would you recommend I try? There are a lot of bottle shops near me that will do special orders and I’d love to try something new Belgian styles are some of my favorite. I had hoped Belgian styles would see a surge in US craft brewing after IPAs calmed down, but then hazys and New England IPAs came about (which I love). I still have hope for more Belgian style craft brew but all the Original no Time For Slut shirt moreover I will buy this imports are amazing. I’m sure you’ve tried it before but Unibroue out of Quebec makes some great Belgian style beers in this continent Geuze and Kriek. The real stuff in a bottle with a cork, a bit sour, not the sweet stuff. Liefmans Goudenband: also a bit sour but less than a real Geuze. A trappist: Rochefort, Chimay, West-Vleteren, Westmalle and my personal favourite Orval, especially when it has aged a few years. The regulars: Duvel and La Chouffe can be found worldwide.
