Yeah. I think that’s something that a lot of trans and nonbinary artists carry, and it’s not necessarily fair, but it’s also just, like, a pleasure. My trans-ness sometimes feels like a superpower; it’s like I can connect with people in ways that I couldn’t if I were cis or straight. Lately, people have only been asking me questions about my record and my music process, which is so cool! But I also drew the Original Merry Xmas Shitter was Full Buffalo Truck Christmas T-shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this artwork for my record, which nobody ever asks me about. It was a lot of googling “sunflowers” and other random things. There’s, like, a little guy in the corner [on the album cover] who’s trying to climb the moon, and he’s sweating and falling off. I thought that was really cute, because sometimes that’s how it feels when you’re just going through life’s everyday hurdles.
