Leave him and run before you get caught in that shit. Please. It took my friend over half a decade to pick up the Ontario provincial parks trillium shirt and by the same token and pieces of her life and it was one of the most painful experiences I ever had to witness. I mean I hate to give relationship advice myself but it’s 100% a cult that has ruined lives. I mean do your own research and all that but the fact that your asking these questions means it’s probably time to run for hills already. The fact that it didn’t come until 5 months in should also be a red flag imo it’s like how they cook lobsters so that they don’t realize their screwed until its too late. Lex Fridman podcast has an episode with a former scientologist member on youtube. A lot of questions are answered there as well. I’d also recommend listening to episode 281 of the Cleared Hot Podcast. It’s a different episode than he normally does, as he mainly focuses on special forces guys, high performance athletes, etc. The host, Andy Stumpf, interviews Aaron Smith Levin, a former Scientologist. It gives you a pretty good idea of what goes on in Scientology, and how Aaron’s in-laws were forced to go no-contact after Aaron and his wife decided to no longer be involved in the church. Super informative and heartbreaking at times.

Big things to know are that what they approach with is not at all compatible with where the Ontario provincial parks trillium shirt and by the same token and religion goes. Auditing with an E-meter is recorded and the church is known to blackmail people from leaving with what they have said or confessed to during auditing sessions. If he’s a member of SeaOrg it will deeply affect your life and relationship, both because it doesn’t pay and keeps you in it by restricting access to the resources for living, and in that it asks its members to uphold specific lifestyle requirements If you’re still skeptical after watching the documentary, look into L Ron Hubbard and David Miscavige, the founder and the current leader. Hubbard was a pulp fiction writer that dabbled in magic and the OTO. He was an abusive conman that began a religion for the money. Miscavige is a full fledged psychopath that is highly abusive and whose wife has been missing for several years. People who have left Scientology will still say that Hubbard was the real deal while disagreeing with Miscavige but make no mistake, they’re both absolute scum. It’s very dangerous and employs blackmail and isolation to keep its members. It tries to pitch itself as a self help type lifestyle but it’s a lie. It’s a cult with more than one death on its hands and it’s dangerous.
