I’m salty about remote workers because the Once Upon A Time There Was A Girl who Really Loved Sloths And Tacos Shirt in contrast I will get this money they make totally outclassed my local economy when they could all move here and buy with California/NE money. My local area is completely unaffordable now and you basically need to make 150k annually to buy a starter home. They have to have all employees in the spaceship building before takeoff. The plan is almost complete for the new Apple home world fully walled garden. When this serious article started talking about businesses learning the hard way that employees have options in this job market, I was half expecting the author to say fuck around and find out. Was going to read the article but then there was a glaring typo right at the top and I thought if they couldn’t be bothered to proof read it then it can’t be very good

I had new hire orientation today and it was all on WebEx. Pretty much everyone was at home like me (including all the Once Upon A Time There Was A Girl who Really Loved Sloths And Tacos Shirt in contrast I will get this presenters) except one group of people all sitting in a conference room, watching WebEx on a projector. Fuck that noise. I don’t blame them. Why work in the office when you can do the work at home and save time and money while you’re at it? I’ll never understand why people want to do the same old. I guess I have it Lucky my bosses don’t want to come back either. My work notorious for not getting shit done at the office. Everyone has seen the productivity come up. I work at a corporate training center, and instructors like to talk. Office isn’t a cubicle layout and everybody that walks by wants to have a conversation. And I’m just as guilty. It’s a paradigm shift…come on guys get with it. The new normal. If you want to work in the office great if you want to work at home that’s great too. Just work hard and be productive.
