I don’t care about parties, but if you’re seeing one party fit more closely with my definition of ‘the other side’ then says…something. Most of my neighbors voted for Trump but they’re not fascists and they’re not willingly wanting to overturn democracy. Well, bullshit. They supported a fascist, knowing he’s a fascist trying to overturn democracy. Maybe your neighbours don’t have the stones to point a rifle or pull a trigger, but Ann Frank would also not be safe in your attic. Eh there is not point arguing about this. On the flip side they were illegal immigrants and own businesses that employ black, gay, women, etc. without prejudice and are not religious at all. I don’t think they’re fascists. It’s not as simple as reading a book on the subject man. People are complex. There was never a time like that. There was always plenty of violence over controversial topics. The Ku Klux Klan kills black people just for being black. The mantra of “America doesn’t negotiate with terrorists,” in other words there is no talking to people who have a predetermined goal of violence, and having a different skin color can make someone into a target of violence.
