Yes, because COVID is still out there and despite me being vaccinated, I’m unfortunately in an anti-vax heavy part of the Ole Heavy Street Dutlaws Car Shirt but in fact I love this world and I’m not risking myself OR my family (one of them being immunocompromised) because selfish pieces of shit refuse to do their part. Mask is on. I’ve seen how filthy you fuckers are now. Hand washing is basic hygiene than at least half of you don’t bother with. Don’t touch me or my son ever again! I do it because my mother is immunocompromised. However I plan on wearing it for the next 5 years because it annoys some people when I do so and I find that funny. I still wear a mask. It offers at least some protection against Covid (and some protection, like some money, is definitely better than none) and apparently lots of protection against colds, flu, etc… I haven’t caught anything in well over two years.

Also, a couple that we know—young, 30-ish parents—both caught Covid from their little daycare-attending kids back before vaccines were even available. Kids didn’t get very ill. But the Ole Heavy Street Dutlaws Car Shirt but in fact I love this husband got really sick, was very close to going to the hospital but then slowly recovered. His wife initially got less sick than him, but since her recovery from acute Covid, she’s developed two autoimmune diseases: rheumatoid arthritis in her hands and Celiac disease…both life-altering, chronic, incurable conditions. A strong link has been associated between R. Arthritis and Covid infection. Jury’s still out on Celiac. She was younger than me, fit, healthy, etc. The mask doesn’t bother me and I live in a province where you typically don’t get yelled at for wearing one, so that helps, too.
