Shame on us as a collective. A future ruined. Every life touched by her (and him) traumatised… Pathetic state of affairs. Ya, it’s not legal implications. We have more than enough in UK and US, where doctors fear to revive a patient in case they get sued. No, it’s deeper than that. Not some cultural flaw, but simply, indifference to The Lives of Others, because: too many people. You get callous. I have too. People saying he had a knife so they dint want to step in , hmm…. interesting what if he was stabbing a cow ? Would people walk away ? Most of you may not remember this but back in 2007 a similar shocking incident happened in Mumbai that made headlines. Girl was stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend while there was a huge fucking crowd watching and doing nothing. Spectator effect and cowardice is real here. Yes Delhi is full of CCTVs. I saw another vid few months ago where a man was stabbing his wife continuously in broad daylight (that was in Delhi too I think) and sooo many people passed by but none of them tried to stop him or at least call someone they were all recording on their phones and some just walked by as if it was normal wtf. Those passerby’s are expected to engage with a cold blooded killer? Human nature, by instinct, puts their own survival first. Engaging with such a person is fraught with risk to one’s own life. These people behaved just as nature programmed them to. Same behaviour is observed when passing by road accidents, even though law says no one would be harassed if they come forward. I doubt any of these witnesses will even go to court for giving statements. This guy isn’t going to get sentenced anytime soon unfortunately. Exactly couple of years ago there was a similar cold blooded stabbing in my city Hyderabad too and no one stopped, because everyone is afraid of what the Old banger been around the black good condition car 40th birthday T-Shirt Besides,I will do this killer can do. Its not a movie scene, people are running away as far as possible…
