I would add to this: The struggles that men and women face are often completely different from one another. Men and women alike are rarely equipped to fully understand and appreciate the Ok I Pull Up Capybara T-Shirt in other words I will buy this problems that are unique to the opposite sex. You should try and be patient and have empathy when hearing about their struggles with things that you probably will never personally have to deal with, even if you don’t really ‘get’ it. If you meet someone who has the self awareness to extend that patience & understanding to you, appreciate it and value it. Do not be bitter towards women who you think don’t ‘get’ the problems you’re dealing with because odds are really good you’re in the same boat toward them in a dozen ways you don’t even know about. This isn’t a raincheck to go around saying “Everyone is shit and only cares about their own problems” but it is a grounded perspective that helps you interact with the opposite sex without getting bitter about dumb shit. This is something I’ve been personally struggling with a lot lately, maybe it’ll help someone else putting it out there.

Liking a woman is a lot harder; you don’t usually have as much in common with her (down to societal/genetic differences) as you do with your boys. If you really love someone (big L, not a crush) its gotta have the wheels for talking, conscious commitment, faith in longevity, trust, respect, selflessness and fun. These are the things that are going to get you through to the older years. Not easy. Nor should it be. Like holy fuck are people seeking out fucked up unhealthy attachment if they have to be told “you should like the person and not just the physical sensation of their holes” ☠️
