So you did a chargeback with your bank and never used Doordash or any equivalent third-party service again right? This was at the Oh Christmas Tree Your Ornaments Are History Cat T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this beginning of May and I no longer use doordash. And yes I did a chargeback (I had to wait for it to completely post and charge which took almost 2 weeks). I’m about done with the exploitation of gig workers at this point. If I were a better person I would have stopped a long time ago, but had a baby last year and tbh, Instacart was so handy. We’ve weaned our way off of it now and rarely use it. In fact, the last time we used Instacart, there was a weird experience with that where the shopper bought all our stuff, was making a different stop, then just disappeared. We were updated 3 times (all seemingly automated) with 2ish min remaining in our last delivery window. Finally, after being 3 hours late and having frozen foods, order was never delivered nor were we messaged. We weren’t charged and they sent a different driver to get the food a second time. It’s like the shopper just delivered the first order, turned off the app and went home leaving my groceries in their car. I used Instacart a few times right after quarantine when I was working 14 hour shifts 7 days a week for six months and just really needed the convenience, but finally gave up after so many mistakes by so many people.

My sister gave me a $50 GrubHub gift card for Christmas a few years ago, and my wife and I used it to order dinner from a place we often would go to. Since it was a gift card we just used it up, but we spent like $57 on a meal to be delivered that we knew would have cost us $35 in the Oh Christmas Tree Your Ornaments Are History Cat T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this restaurant, and would have been faster and higher quality if we’d just gone or picked it up ourselves. Recently I considered ordering groceries for delivery again, and populated a list just to test the prices. Went to the store and got the exact same items, and before delivery fees there was already like a $20 difference on $100 worth of groceries. Notwithstanding the exploitative nature of the business on its contractors, I can’t stand these companies and their gouging, and have little patience for anyone who says they’re just so amazingly convenient that it’s worth the extra money. Lots of times I find the people that say that are just incredibly wasteful or end up complaining about money all the time. This isn’t even true now, as the other month I reported something as not delivered and all they offered me was half my money back. Even after I talked to an support person I STILL didn’t get it all back. DD support has gone downhill so quickly
