Nah you aint weird. But couldn’t hurt to encourage her to exercise/ diet. It’s healthier and you can stay together with her longer. Fat is fat. Simple as that. Why invent words to say same thing when we had those words for thousand of years before Maybe cause it’s his girlfriend and he doesn’t want to refer to her as “fat” because it’s harsher don’t pretend like you don’t know that Not everyone is from murica, where being political correct is more important than common sense. Here we call fat – fat. Simple. Plus – size… what a joke of a term… I’m not American or a native English speaker and I’m not trying to be “politically correct” it just seemed like a more polite term to me so when talking about my girlfriend I thought it was the Official love you till the cows come home shirt but in fact I love this appropriate term to use since she’s my girlfriend and me being rude to her would be ungentlemanly of me. Is it being politically correct, though? Or is it just another way of saying something which is less harsh because he’s talking about his gf lol. It’s not that deep. Also everyone knows plus sized=big, it’s called having tact I’m not saying it’s derogatory, but the man can should be able to address his gf as “plus sized” if he wants to. Does it really make that much of a difference? We all know what he meant. The word exists because of clothing industry. Regular sizes used to go to 12 or L. Anything above the standard size for clothing, was (and still is) labeled “plus size”.

Also, you should re-evaluate your friendship with these people. Is communication mutual, or one-sided for example… You do you bruv. As long ad you two get along thats all that matters.
