Just that if you’re not raised to understand working to look good as a good thing, and possibly not even to understand that you can be attractive, then you won’t have a very nuanced understanding of why your girlfriend likes to look good. Men also tend to not bear in mind that women often have a quite limited amount of time to dress in that way. Some women do continue until they’re old or even dead but most of us will feel self conscious when we’re 40 and trying to pull off a dress that we know an 18 year old will likely buy and wear too. The fact that women do often get criticised for dressing sexy past a certain age (with comments such as “mutton dressed as lamb”) puts the majority of us off even more.
