Guns. Training. Clear the Official godzilla is my spirit animal vintage T-Shirt and I will buy this chamber. Don’t point the gun at someone or something if you don’t intend to shoot it and kill it. Care of a firearm in the home where others also reside. Locked in a safe unloaded with the ammo elsewhere. Consequences of NOT doing these things? Dead adults. Dead friends. Dead children. Death by gunshot. U.S. Park Police officer *negligently* fatally shoots fellow officer at Virginia gathering, police say. Just fixed the headline. This is a murder. “Unintentional” isn’t the word that comes to mind when someone points a gun at someone else and pulls the trigger. Now, now! No crime here folks. How was he supposed to know that negligently handling a loaded firearm could result in injury and would break a law? Qualified immunity is here for a reason. Please think of the ignorant police officer who pulled the trigger.

negligently shot. An unintended shot is always a negligent shot unless the Official godzilla is my spirit animal vintage T-Shirt and I will buy this gun went off without the trigger being pulled which is extremely unlikely (looking at you, Alec). And even if that were to happen tragedy can be avoided by assuming every gun is loaded and never pointing it at other people. Also, don’t fucking handle a gun when you’re drunk. For fuck sake, this shit is so avoidable. Negligently at best. A ‘negligent shot’ is best-case scenario here. If we got drunk and shot someone, the charges wouldn’t be “you did a whoops”. If only the other officer had been mishandling a weapon at the same time, he could have accidentally defended himself. This is a bit like that story where the police killed an innocent, completely unrelated man “with no active warrants.”
