The Christ I was raised to know said to love everyone, do what you can for the less fortunate, share, don’t take revenge but instead show grace, don’t chase after wealth you can’t take to heaven with you… and 90+% of mainstream Christians in America seem dead fucking set on doing the complete opposite of all of that. Aid is given on conditions of conversion, disagreement with the church dogma is seen as an unforgivable trespass against God Himself, money goes to leadership and grifters on the promise of heavenly repayment tenfold, and anyone not exactly the same kind of Christian as is preached is seen as subhuman.

Oh absolutely, if Jesus showed up one day the ‘Christians’ of America at least would crucify Him all over again. And they’d label Him a woke softie while doing so.
