I don’t believe in God. I don’t go to church. God doesn’t exist. But I do sometimes get down on my bedside and pray before bed. It’s not often, but a few times a year. Not even my catholic wife, who knows I am an aethiest, knows that I do this. I have 3 personal rules: be thankful, never ask for anything for yourself, and never complain (to him). I sometimes kneel to tell God that I am thankful for my housing, for my food, for my family, and for my career, and the Official 47 years 1976 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt and I love this good fortune in life. I also ask for the well being of people I know who are going through a tough time. I think about all the fresh fruit and vegetable that are readily available in my local supermarket, and I say thank you. I tell him that I am aware that it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of all those involved, and I say that I wish him to look after them, I don’t take it for granted, and I’m aware – it serves as a moment for me to reflect upon that. And when I have a coworker who’s father is dying in the icu, I simply ask for him to provide whatever comfort he can. I ask for the well being of the homeless man/woman I see on the corner almost every day. It’s not much, it’s a very private thing, and I don’t even believe in God. But it is good to be thankful for what you have, remind yourself of how it is that you have those things and who is behind it, that there are people behind the scenes. I don’t pray because I believe in God. I pray because it is important to exercise the heart. If there is no God, these excersises in humanity are still worth while. If there is a God, well… I wouldn’t want to have faith in a god who couldn’t love somebody who’s trying to do their best even while not believing…. Shit, Especially while not believing, and still having a humanistic, thankful, and loving outlook.

But not you – you seem like a good Christian. As an aethiest, I’d love to know you. Cheers, and God bless. I very firmly that you get the afterlife you earned according to your beliefs. A whole bunch of these “Christians in name only” are in for one hell of a surprise(JimBob Duggar, Lori Anderson and Kenneth Copeland and company to start with.). True, I am Catholic (tho not devout), and I have asked several priests and leaders in my local church looking at the current environment and saying “This isn’t what he would want. This needs to stop.” Many of them hypocrites to many things in bible. But that’s prob part of it ‘I’ve sinned but if I enforce ‘gods law’ in others im sure to get rewarded for punishing other sinners or preventing sin’ they go extra hard on oppression because of all that Christian guilt
