Well bro there are people like me that dumps their og games and saves, thanks to that i can still play my og pokemon yellow with a leggit mew from an event when i was a kid 😉 Look man, Nintendo has always been stingy when it comes to copyright, but over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Freedom Flag Performance Shirt Also,I will get this last 6 years, Nintendo’s lawyers have been taking crazy pills or something because they keep getting worse and worse. With how emboldened they are it’s only a matter of time before they screw themselves over and get into a lawsuit they can’t win. Valve is a major corporation, and I am no lawyer but while Nintendo has technically been in the legal right in the past. In this case emulation is 100% legal as long as it doesn’t use any code from the actual gamecube or Wii hardware. And for the people defending Nintendo by saying that they DMCAing are under Japanese law. However while Console and Save modding is illegal, as far as I am aware PC emulators aren’t. So emulators like Snes9x, Project64, Cemu, Yuzu, and yes Dolphin. If I am wrong though someone correct me.

Emulators should not be allowed on Steam in my opinion. That’s just setting a dangerous precedent. Just take the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Freedom Flag Performance Shirt Also,I will get this extra few steps to download manually behind the scenes. I am pro emulation, but any association with a monetized storefront is just bad news and really puts the crosshairs on emulation for court cases. Everyone here is clamoring that emulation is legal, but piracy is not, and redistribution of derivative works is not, and a whole list of other things that are tied to emulation are not always legal. People should not be acting surprised that Nintendo does not want its direct competitor in the handheld gaming market to allow an emulator that encourages piracy of their software and impacts their bottom line to be on its main Steam store. It’s common sense self-protection. If Nintendo put PlayStation emulators on its eShop, even for free, you better believe Sony would hit them with a takedown notice, or just go straight to lawsuit.
