I’ve thought this too! Maybe not every time, but with the Nope still don’t care try again tomorrow dog shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this more straightforward themes at least. Like Ru in tie dye drying that fiasco would have been a breath of fresh air I’m guessing. She’s a judge judging others on a theme if she herself was in the theme she would be comparing herself to them in her critiques/opening herself up to judging. It doesn’t make sense. I feel like she used to do it a bit more until The Princess (in S4) walked the runway in an outfit that was just like Ru’s on the judges panel. OMG this is so weird I was having this exact thought yesterday. Yeah as mentioned in this post I do think that it would just be sooo awks if Ru was wearing something and one of the girls came out in something similar or accidently ate her up. She should’ve dressed up as Michelle Visage for the MV roast though, could be something fun like that from time to time

i believe the Nope still don’t care try again tomorrow dog shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this general consensus is that the queens would all eat her up on the runway so she just saves herself the embarrassment This would be amazing and diversify her looks. Unpopular opinion but her looks are stale af. If I see one more fucking sequin mini dress with an elaborate bow/arm, I will poke my eyes out and drive home blind. I don’t agree. The fans would ruin the fun, it would be the queens vs RuPaul and not about which queen did it best. I think it would be fun but she’d have to outdo them every time. Also feel like fans would talk trash about Ru’s look. And it would just be negative in the end. Two reasons why she probably doesn’t: she has way more money than them to execute that theme. It’s not fair. And then the other side of the coin, what if they destroyed her look? She’d probably not be super happy about that. But mostly the first one. I’m sure she’s done many more. But my brain can only remember clearly that she did dress up like fruit cake for the cake challenge s3 i always wondered why they didnt do this, like she can be an example of what theyre looking for. or we can see how she thinks of the themes. i miss the older seasons 🙁 I do like this idea or think, as others have mentioned, a nod to the theme as Ru and Michelle once did would be cool to see once in a while. Kind of like how Raven and Raja do in the fashion photo review. However, the argument I have against this idea is, depending on Ru’s level of commitment, she will inevitably either outshine or fall flat of the contestants. There may even be times where Ru’s outfit would simply be too close to a contestant’s interpretation causing a unfavorable judgement of a perfectly decent runway presentation. Perhaps Ru stopped so the contestants get their due time and attention (lets not talk about the insanely quick runway times this season).
