Love it. Some people didn’t seem to understand who the Nope Not Until I Get Coffee Dragon Shirt also I will do this show was about. Other than that, most people seemed to enjoy it. … which just created so many questions for me. Is he a 75-yo Star Wars fan, or is it something he picked up from a younger family member? Is obi-wan a bit overkill for showing him where the Mac and cheese lives? During the pandemic I had to cancel some plane tickets. I told the guy I appreciated his help and I know he must be having a hard time. He was so grateful to hear that, we had a conversation about regular stuff and he thanked me for being so pleasant. The first was someone I had zero interaction with. She was loitering and never really shopped, but it wasn’t really a problem, so I let her be. She came charging up to me ranting about trans men and women, how I’m discriminating against people, and something about “Trump and Biden too”.

The second was a man who felt someone cut in front of him when we opened a new lane. He went beast mode on a grandma half his size until she threatened to call the Nope Not Until I Get Coffee Dragon Shirt also I will do this police. He then called me and spent 10 mins telling me how I’m incompetent, our store sucks, and we’re racist against white people. The last one flew in to a rage because there’s not enough of us left to open the service desk. She told us we weren’t helping her because she’s Jewish, and proceeded with the usual list of people she’s going to call because I wouldn’t shut down a lane full of people to cater to her. Today I got called a lazy shit by a customer for essentially the same reason, so, I guess that’s an improvement. The sad part is, I used to really care about the customer experience. After the last two years? I just am numb to it save in extreme and legitimate cases. (Like, we actively fucked up. Not someone is sad because there’s a line, or there’s nobody to do the job that they themselves want done, but would never do themselves.)
