Are they gonna outlaw condoms? Bc this very clearly looks to be a means to punish women and women only, which is fucking wild when you consider the No 8mi Em And Dre March May Shirt in other words I will buy this female GOP politicians backing this kind of shit. They, Republicans, are coming for your rights. Voting, abortion, direct election of Senators, they are coming for them. The problem with “personhood starts at conception” is that when you say that, you are doing away with Habeas Corpus. Nobody can know whether conception has occurred. Not with a pregnancy test, not with an ultrasound. Republican “personhood” starts out completely unobservable. How can we protect a person if we can’t know whether that person exists? How can we prosecute a “murder” without a body, without so much a missing person report? The Republican answer is to ban anything that might interfere with a hypothetical “person” if it were to exist, regardless of whether the person actually exists and regardless of what the primary purpose of of the banned substance is. And prosecute it as “murder”. So basically they want to do away with Habeas Corpus and prosecute “crimes” that are completely victimless most od the time even by their own definition of victim/person.

And all that sentiment is of course mixed with an irrational fear of and misunderstanding of contraceptives. For IUDs to interfere with a pregnancy, they need to simultaneously be too weak to prevent conception and powerful enough to interfere after conception. An impossible contradiction, as preventing ovulation or conception from occurring is much easier than disrupting a ‘pregnancy’ later on. Hormonal IUDs and plan B literally contain pregnancy hormones: hormones that help your pregnant body to stay pregnant; how could that possibly disrupt pregnancy? Sorry as this will likely offend some but it’s far past time we banned organized religion. Not personal belief. The issue is, Roe was a carrot on a stick issue for a very long time. I wouldn’t doubt that a large portion of Republican politicians saw it as a fight they could yell about to their voters without any true pressure to take real action on it. Of course the No 8mi Em And Dre March May Shirt in other words I will buy this extremists who believed in the cause were there the whole time, but it wasn’t until Trump that the floodgates opened for extremists to occupy positions at all levels, including the supreme court. The Republican plan–for anything–always includes punishing the economic bottom half of American households, who are primarily people of color.
