After what felt like ages, more people walk in, I remember there was one couple. Now I wasn’t the Nick Maton Philadelphia Dots American professional baseball utility player T-Shirt and by the same token and only woman in the room, so I am a little bit relieved. Still wanting to leave, but still hanging out cause surely my friend meant well and I trust her. Anyway finally a person begins a PowerPoint presentation. I sit there, blank. He’s talking about weird products, one for example that makes water more “healthy” and can cure all sort of ailments. Yup. So I get it. There is no design project for me. This is a pyramid scheme. This was the the “business project”. I am furious and insulted by my friend now. What a betrayal of trust. The person leading the presentation goes on to share his personal success story. He apparently is a qualified doctor but left his profession cause there was more money to make here. I find that horrifying but at the same time glad — he should probably not be practising medicine if money is his only end goal. He talks about how he uses all this products esp the water disc thing that has helped all his family members. Yeah whatever. I am thinking surely no one is buying into this. But no, the couple next to me are all ears and super interested. What a world. I finally muster the courage and leave.

I never spoke to that friend again. Weeks later she put up a weird FB post about how she’s trying to help people but they are fools who don’t want things to get better for them or some such. NEVER SPOKE TO HER AGAIN. Anyway moral of the Nick Maton Philadelphia Dots American professional baseball utility player T-Shirt and by the same token and story if a long lost friend has a business project for you get the details before you meet. If they try to be elusive, you know they aren’t you friend. And if you are a girl with a gut instinct that you are in an uncomfortable situation, walk away. Just walk away. If any mlm person says they made a lot of money , I ask them for a loan and say I’ll invest in their business and make it back, just like they made it. The people who sell these act as if they are medical professionals !! My cousins work for them, but we’ve distanced ourselves from them as they had got quite annoying
