I find it quite incredible how some people consider this to be a poor me situation rather than people just being bloody inconsiderate I had to make a conscious decision not to get annoyed about it. Our neighbours aren’t doing anything wrong but certain sounds like footsteps of cupboard draws just carries through the Nice trump the Donfather shirt What’s more,I will buy this walls. Found I was getting worked up and stressed all the time, obviously I’d rather i couldn’t hear them but just deciding to let it go made me a happier person My last flat had this issue. Our bedroom was right above the main door of the converted building. We did talk to our neighbours and they were quieter but it was the delivery people (uber eats, deliveroo) who would always slam the doors and wake us up. Someone put a sign up asking people to not slam the door but it didn’t do anything. Get some soft close for the door, maybe some padded stickers on the doorframe where the door slams into the frame. Doesn’t cost a fortune.

Talk to your neighbors about the Nice trump the Donfather shirt What’s more,I will buy this noise. Maybe get them to install soft-close/soundproofing on their doors. Talk to the landlord about installing the upgrades. Often people aren’t self aware of their behaviour. And it takes a little courage to speak up. Sometimes living in annoyance and grumbling is the de facto stance we take. I just bought my own place with its own entrance – Lower ground sure but I love the own entrance, its worth its weight in gold….And because its in London its technically probably worth more. I live at the top of a converted Victorian house and the constant stomping, door and drawers slamming, classical music blasting and fish frying (poor fish are killed and destroyed into oblivion in the process) from my downstairs neighbours is driving me up the wall.
