I think this post is (wrongly, in my opinion) getting lumped in with some kind of weaponised incompetence tropes. Like yeah your gf shouldn’t have to buy you new socks or manage your socks lol.. but equally socks do not need to be thrown out as soon as they get a hole. It’s a matter of preference and there’s no right or wrong answer between “as soon as a hole appears they’re gone” and “I’m fine wearing them when a hole is there since they’re socks and still functional.” Yeah I don’t get this weird mindset everyone has where it’s okay to destroy your partners personal property instead of just saying something if it bothers one so much. Like this is childish, and annoying, and not really the Nice don Carlos alcaraz team shirt moreover I will buy this right way to communicate with anyone…

I’m losing my mind reading this comment thread. Thank you for being reasonable lol. If she doesn’t like holey socks, then she can use her words like an adult and talk to her partner about it. This is pretty childish behavior imo. Also, why is it funny that she is destroying his things? That would be abuse if the Nice don Carlos alcaraz team shirt moreover I will buy this title were something like “Should my (23F) boyfriend (27m) be destroying my clothing when it shows wear?” I do this to myself now because I will literally wear things until I can’t and my boyfriend has taught me that I don’t have to do that anymore. Did you also grow up super poor OP? When we first started dating my wife used to steal my drink when she felt that I had had enough. I sat her down and explained that I felt that was unacceptable to me. She explained her reasons for doing it.
