Ethics, values, and meaning actually have no rational basis in all forms, whether its vegans or christians. It wasnt a change of reason that caused the decline of religion in the western tradition but a change of taste. Maybe critique the utility of the abrahamic virtues themselves might at least make for an interesting discussion, but turns out most of your values are actually very christian. The west abandoned God and heaven but kept the rest, except heaven was the thing that justified living with such values.
