The US was one of the New York Yankees Marcus Stroman Manhattan Skyline Signature shirt but in fact I love this most powerful economies in the world before the world wars though. By 1890 the US had overtaken China as the world’s largest economy by GDP. The US was definitely in a better position economically after the two world wars than other countries, but to act like those are the reasons the US is an economic powerhouse is just silly. It’s the rivers y’all. All that food could be barged down the Mississippi and several other watery highways that other countries just didn’t have. We were always going to succeed once we populated those massive river valleys. It was the same reason the Egyptians were so successful. The combination of the largest continuous fertile stretch in the world in the largest navigable river system plus tons of sheltered harbors, a large population, tons of natural resources, etc. I read that the problem was that Argentina made most of its fortune from exporting grain and beef in the 1800s and early 1900s.

It never fully industrialized like canada, australia or the New York Yankees Marcus Stroman Manhattan Skyline Signature shirt but in fact I love this USA and its rich elites are still large landowners of farms and ranches and the urban middle-class grows smaller and smaller each year. You are half right… we never industrialized and thats a massive issue, but in regards to the rich elites they are taxed the most in the world in Argentina. For example Landowners have 70-90% taxes in soy exports. You would think that money goes to roads, education and public healthcare, but the truth is it goes directly to the pockets of politicians. I was about to comment that this could be fairly irrelevant if their main exports are grain and beef, but according to this, those two actually only comprise about 5% of their exports. Whereas corn is 12% and soy products account for a solid 25%. What’s weird is that the breakdown of soybeans, soybean meal, and soybean oil by export country is so wildly different. Like, no overlap at all. China wants all the soybeans, India gets half the oil, and the meal is spread around to just about every country except those two.
