Think about the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this difference from the West Coast, East ,East, The South etc. The U.S. is huge and diverse! To generalize culture from such a wide pool isn’t really possible, but maybe by state.. I was having a fight about this on an instagram post. It was a white woman dancing in the market of a West African country somewhere. Typical Tik Tok type thing. She was dressed in the local attire and some of the people commenting hated that. I pointed out that when black people do ballet that’s fine but a white woman in African attire that’s appropriation?! They responded that ballet wasn’t a white cultural thing. I was really confused. I’m like how is it not? It was invented in Italy and France and Russia added to it. How is it not a “white thing”?

By definition culture is the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this enabling structure of meaning and understanding by which humans make sense of reality. Without it we behave like this: Culture isn’t a day at in the park with Shakespeare. Nor is it weird “brown people” who do hilariously primitive things like dress in funny clothes and put bird feathers in their hair. You me and everyone else does equally bizarre behaviors based on the how human groups we are embedded in collectively map associations to objects, language and whatever else forms strong enough clusters of shared meaning. You me and everyone else is doing the equivalent of putting shark bones through their noses, or doing weird shit like putting nearly strangulating silk cords around their throats to signal status and expectations of certain patterns of action and speech. (That’d be wearing a tie btws.) This is all to navigate a “culturally constructed” fiction that we call reality.

Sure there are vague urges and forces, hunger, urge for sex, whatever…but “culture” is the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this pathway by which those things are something we can first perceive and two make sense of. If you get more specific then of course they do – Italian American culture, Hillbilly culture, Boston Irish culture, etc etc. There is a bunch of stuff we don’t notice that only we do and don’t notice because we’re submerged in it, but also our own American heritage is still less than 300 years old. My heritage is English and German which go back thousands of years until my mother immigrated here from England. “White” isn’t a heritage, almost everyone here can tell you that they’re Italian or Slavic or South American. What white Americans are you talking about? The Catholic whites or the Protestant ones? The Jewish white Americans? Or do you mean the Scandinavian white Americans?

We do. It’s called a history book which was written largely from the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this perspective of white people. That’s why minorities get celebratory months cuz they lack that privilege. What is “white” American culture? I live in the US and appear white yet I’m not originally a US citizen. My culture is that of where I came from. Racial groups are reductive by nature and not indicative of any culture. Black culture only exists because of the roots of Slavery. Native african immigrants have very little in common with Black Americans or White Americans. White culture does not exist, no. German culture? Swedish culture? Irish culture? British culture? Yes, those exist, and they just happened to be comprised of white people.

They created that perception on themselves. They say they are the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this standard and other cultures or people are “ethnic”. I once saw someone say that we have a bowl that is both the throw up bowl and the Halloween candy bowl. And that made me proud of my “white culture.” I don’t know. There are so many white cultures in America, you can’t just say “American culture” and say it encompasses everyone. I come from a very specific culture which is Central Kentucky, very much white. Ours consists of thoroughbreds, bourbon, basketball, certain very specific foods, etc. There are alot of very ethnic white people. Have you ever met a family of Italian-americans? Polish-Americans? Irish-Americans? Portuguese-Americans? Those are the most common white/European ethnicities in my area. They’re all quite different.
White culture and even white American culture is just as unique and diverse amongst white folks as it is for any other culture across the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this world. I think there is a misargument here that white Americans may not accept, understand, or even acknowledge that other cultures exist, and may go their entire lives without ever leaving their home state so they have no idea what other cultures really look like. And that is a fair argument, but to say they themselves don’t have any culture of their own is just plain wrong. You could even make the argument that white culture and specifically white American culture is sad or boring and you may be right in some cases. But it’s still a culture. Because they don’t.They are the only groups unless in the South that does not directly adhere to a culture and those people are the most free lol you have too many Whites that come from so many different places. Culture tells you who you must be or be disregarded no? So many people that don’t align with their “culture ” are typically called sellouts, pushed out, not accepted..
because “white” doesn’t mean anything in that sense. White could mean, English, French, Irish, Italian, Russian, there’s a lot of people who are white. It isn’t an ethnic group. There’s also regional culture, Southern, North Eastern, North Western, Midwestern, every region has its own culture. There’s also just the New York Yankees Aaron Judge And Buffalo Bills Josh Allen Signatures Skyline 2024 shirt But I will love this general American culture. It’s not that “white people don’t have culture” it’s that white is too general a term. Politics, mixed with ethnic cleansing. If white people have no culture, then they really aren’t anything distinct. If they aren’t anything then they should have no self-esteem or sense of belonging. If you convince them of that, they’ll develop anxiety and depression. Also you can introduce non-white people to them who will offer them a culture to belong to, and thereby breed white people out of existence.
