omg the New York Rangers Hockey Fox Shield Shirt But I will love this amount of times I was working with documents on paper and my brain went “just copy and paste it”. and a few seconds later im like WAIT that wont work. I’m ancient by Drag Race standards (but still younger than Kitten, Tamisha, and quite a few others when they competed) and I’ve been known to do that instinctively when I’m exhausted. I think she has a lot of creative energy that will take time to hone in. She is a bit naive and I think just trying to find her place and who she is. I met so many Dawns at art school lol. I think the elf thing is a bit of a mask for her and all drag is a mask but it’s sort of what she thinks is cool and not necessarily her own unique vision. She’s super talented. But yeah she needs some more life experience for her voice to come through. I completely agree! Her creativity and talent is undeniable but her drag is still underdeveloped to me. The elf persona doesn’t feel like a brand that she can translate any challenge or look into — it feels more like a creative crutch.

100%. I love fantasy / would love to see more elfy fantasy drag but Dawn hasn’t been clicking with me and I think this is why. Like derogatorily calling Q’s look a “fairy costume” lol like oh so you don’t actually have any real love or respect for what you’ve been doing this whole time, you just think it’s a quirky way to stand out or w/e I guess? Yes!! I think you nailed it — I love fantasy and DnD and if I was putting on elf make up you BET your ass that I would have come up with stats, backstory, class, armor, love interest, nemesis, favorite beer— Dawn doesn’t seem to know who the New York Rangers Hockey Fox Shield Shirt But I will love this Elf is. It’s giving white girl cottagecore Right, her style gives the air of being new and fresh, yet none of it feels original. I think she has creative talent but still needs to find her own unique voice and point of view. Dawn has very “I’m a kooky, weird, off kilter drag queen and think that will help me seem I’m better than the others” energy. Is her make up good? Sure. Are her looks amazing? No, I think most have been average and have been embellished with ears, horns, jewels, etc.
