Minus all the cool parts about going to the moon. I was doing a double major and in my last quarter before graduation, the professor in a little seminar I was taking had a heart attack. It was too late in the term to get a sub but too early to just give us full credit so I just wasnt able to complete that one class and so had to graduate with just my one other degree. I didn’t really care. The second one was a bit of a lark anyway, and I never did anything about it. But years later I found out that because one major was incomplete, I actually never graduated at all officially. I’d been lying on my resume for a decade by then. I had to ring up the school and see if any professors I knew were still there. Fortunately one was, and with his help I wrote one essay, got the credit, and both degrees. Yeesh.

I FUCKED UP my back something awful just a few weeks before I was going to defend my thesis. I was not physically capable of presenting so I requested to do it remotely. It was denied because it was against policy. A while later covid rolled around and the university went to all-remote. I re-enrolled, defended from home successfully and graduated.
