Really it’s because most other cultures have been around and developing for hundreds of years. American culture is relatively new and for a long time was simply a mix of the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt and I will buy this existing cultures of all the people that immigrated here. Only recently in relative history to the world has American culture started to become unique. I think non-Americans see Americans as one culture, but that isn’t the case. There are so many different cultures in the US that it likely looks like a “mish-mosh” or a single, boring culture. Kind of like when you mix all of your paint colors together, and it looks like a gross poopy color. Even we Americans forget that we’re a big mix of different cultures, and that each culture can hold value.

Because we don’t. Everything white people claim as their own is taken directly from other established cultures. Not sure I understand the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt and I will buy this question. Who do you mean by “people,” and what do you mean by “culture?” Further, what makes a culture some group’s “own?” Because there is no evidence of it anywhere unless you count cavemen. Everything else about them they copied or stole from other cultures as they came in contact with them hell cleanliness wasn’t even a thing for whites until theycame in contact with middle eastern and African cultures. When people use phrases like “White Power” to denigrate POCs, they white they are referring to that ’empowers’ them isn’t their ancestral culture, whether the person is German, Polish, Irish, or Russian;it’s an attempt to weaponize skin coloration as a means of othering.

A primary tactic of racists is to reduce black culture to the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt and I will buy this Middle Passage, Transatlantic Slave Trade, and the North American Plantation system I know Italian culture is a thing… I know Southern culture is a thing.. I even know Christian culture is a thing… but white culture? Not sure about that one. What does that even mean? If white culture is a thing I’d like to hear it described succinctly and unambiguously. Imo culture is independent of race, which is a generic and largely arbitrary construct. Could there be something that is vaguely, loosely considered “white culture”? Maybe, but I think it’s a problematic question on the surface since it’s based on an ambiguous premise, namely, a broad racial category made up of a number of ethic groups, nationalities and cultural traditions.

I mean is there white culture? Or is there just regional and/or European culture and traditions that white people claim is white culture? White people get confused because Black culture is a real thing that can be called that because Black people in the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt and I will buy this US formed a new culture as a result of being taken away from their original lands and cultures. White culture though? There is no national white culture, yalls have regional traditions and carry over culture and traditions from your European descent but that isn’t white culture. We don’t. There’s American culture, Black American culture, Asian-American, etc. But just “white” doesn’t mean anything. I’m Southeastern White American and we have a particular “culture” that overlaps quite a bit with Black American culture, but is pretty unrelated to California American culture or the culture of New York/New Jersey area.

About this New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt

“White” is a skin color with no meaning. Our regions/states/ancestors/etc give our culture meaning, but “white people” in America didn’t collectively bring anything broadly specific to the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt moreover I love this country except slavery. There is no “White American Culture”, it’s too broad, compare white culture in New York to whites in say Vermont or Texas and you get widely different cultures. Because America is 247 years old. Every white person her descends from somewhere in Europe. You cant build a culture in 247 years. There’s only 7 generations of the first white Americans. Plus, America is not a white country. A couple of hundred years ago. Because America is a massive nation with many different ethnic and national heritages, even amongst white folks. We have compound cultures, in a sense. Some people retain strong elements of their cultural heritage, like Irish Americans or Italian Americans. But more importantly, we distinct regional cultures. A white dude from San Francisco lived a very different life than a white dude from Duluth, Minnesota or a white dude from Bangor, Maine. Dixie culture is distinct from New England culture, which is distinct from New York culture, which is even distinct from New Jersey culture.
We have many cultures in this country. Lumping them together under white is just overly broad, and it really doesn’t mean much in terms of identifiable cultural identity. Because they don’t, or rather, it’s so ubiquitous and generic thanks to Hollywood that it’s just the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt moreover I love this vanilla flavor of cultures. Nothing but consumerism, guns, and fried burgers. White American culture? What would that be? They came here, killed the Indians, rounded up the rest and put them on ever shrinking reservations with no electricity or running water and claimed everything as their own. They have no culture. The Smithsonian had a whole exhibit about how it’s racist to do things like “do math” and “show up to work on time.”
aaaandddd there it is. i give you points for being brazen unlike other commenters who keep saying “they” instead of just saying exactly who they mean though. Because in the New York Mets Snoopy And Woodstock Merry Christmas 2024 shirt moreover I love this past, American culture and history was actually white history. We decided that wasn’t inclusive, so now we have “Black history month,” “Asian history month”, “Islamic culture month” etc etc. Why is it taboo to say you are white? When we say that one person of a certain race committed a crime, we make sure to point out that not all people of that race are criminals, because to not say that would be racist. However, the same logic does not apply to white Americans. We are all considered to be racist, colonialist, hateful bastards – just because some of our ancestors/predecessors did some (admittedly) horrible things. Now that we are highlighting everyone’s differences, we can’t say boo about white culture and history. If it were fair, we’d have Irish American history month, English American history month, etc.
